Lucy Maud Montgomery, the Canadian author most famous for the book Anne of Green Gables is quoted with saying, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers”. Unlike in Prince Edward Island, here in Naples, the weather doesn’t really quite change, and the only way to tell the calendar has shifted is the attire of Neapolitans, who always dress according to the date rather than the weather. I did make tomato soup and grilled cheese on a balmy 70 degree day to get myself in the spirit. This month, we’re heading north to experience the quintessential Scottish fall, working on trusting what feels right when everyone seems to know better than you, and looking towards godesses as symbolism when I’m feeling stuck.
