I went to Rudas bath when I last visited Budapest. Liked that it wasn’t so busy and full of other tourists, too.

Really enjoyed Margaret Island while I was visiting there as well.

Oh! Something to explore on my next visit! I had heard of it but in the freezing cold I don’t think we would have enjoyed it as much.

This was lovely to read Brenna, I was born in Budapest and my parents had their first date at Cafe Gerbeaud!

Nice job making it over to Rudas, it does tend to be a more local bath and the jacuzzi on the rooftop with the view is beautiful.

Stoppppp 🥹 thinking about your grandparents having their first date there is beyond cute! How sweet!

The only thing I didn’t get the hang of while I was there was Hungarian! Very tricky language!

Brenna - we are doing a Viking River cruise in later June that starts in Budapest. We will just be there for a couple days. We will travel down the Danube through Vienna and Austria, into Germany, ending in Regensberg. But Budapest I s what I am looking forward to the most! Thanks for the ideas!

That sounds like a really amazing trip! I have been to Budapest once before. But I did not visit the thermal baths. I liked the food and the architecture!

Budapest was one of those place that really surprised me when I visited a few years ago (in a good way). Loved the food, architecture, and thermal baths.

Yes I left that weekend feeling so relaxed! ☺️ plus I learned so much.

Naples isn't my cup of tea, there are better places in Italy for me. But then again, I prefer the countryside over the city. That said a nearby place was tempting despite the high population. https://darylhunterpolyhistor.substack.com/p/colorful-procida-italy

Procida is lovely. Napoli has grown on me too!

I have been enjoying reading all your posts and getting caught up on your life's journey. I am so intrigued reading your impressions of life in Italy! Before the pandemic, Lanny and I were living in Florence for 3 months, every year. It was our second home!
