I've been leaning into poetry this month as well, mostly Mary Oliver. Invitation has been a long-time favorite but I discovered Of Power and Time this month and it really spoke to this season of life and just this morning, Freshen the Flowers, She Said.
I didn’t have much exposure to poetry, truthfully, until it was read aloud often at my retreat last summer. This was a favorite: https://allpoetry.com/Love-After-Love
Ooh your journaling workshop sounds so cool! I signed up :)
Any advice on “getting started” with poetry btw? lol. Like how to pick a book of it or a recommended book? I’m sure it doesn’t matter but it still feels foreign to me :)
Thanks Tim for reading :) James Baldwin always inspires me. His original intention for this quote was about fighting racism but I found it so beautiful I applied it here.
That was beautiful! I've been reigniting my interest in poetry via Pádraig Ó Tuama's podcast Poetry Unbound. I'm starting to get the itch to write again.
I also just signed up for your Meetup so I'm looking forward to it! :)

"Fifteen minutes of music
with nothing playing."
Heart swell....thanks for sharing Heather!
I love Mary Oliver's poetry, too.
This is beautiful, Brenna!

I haven't read that one in a while, it's so beautiful :) :) :) I needed to read it today.

A personal favourite, and one that I bookmark on any device is 'the angel' by William Blake.
Oofff!!!! Inspiring me not to hide my "heart's delight!" So good!
I signed up for your journaling club. Always looking for inspirstion to put pen to paper.
Yay Patricia! It will be so good to "Meet" you over video!
Love this!
My favorite poem right now is 'If' by Rudyard Kipling <3
I have never read this one before. Thanks so much for sharing Taylor! My favorite line was, "If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;"
How how how do we do this....
This is beautiful... Congrats to your cousin. I have been finding some solace in poetry as well, bought my first Mary Oliver poetry collection
That's awesome! Poetry just finds you when you need it most, I think.
I also love the Gardiner brothers!
How do they not fight? Me and my sister would never get through a song lol.
Perhaps they do right before they turn on the camera! :)
Very much adored the poem. Thought the Jame Baldwin quote was a beautiful place to begin. Good on you.
