Loved reading this - Sounds like an incredible place to getaway. Also would be so interested to hear about the other islands you’ve traveled too!
And… just got tested for PCOS (hormones, not one definitive test..), it’s been a deep dive on Reddit to find most of the valuable information to even advocate for myself to get a diagnosis. Unfortunately it is just not taken seriously which is a real bummer.
I really want to visit. My brilliant, revolutionary grandfather was a political prisoner on Ischia during the 2nd world war, so the place has meaning for my family history.
Ischia has been on my list to visit for years, ever since reading the Neopolitan Quartet! Sounds and looks so beautiful, thank you for letting me dip my toe in through your post! 🌊

I really want to make a Substack just dedicated to island travel, because I love it so much :)
I listened to a WONDERFUL podcast that restored my faith a little bit. Maybe you will like her too. Second Life Podcast with guest Dr. Thais Aliabadi

Add the Azores to your list of islands to visit! Hawaii of the Atlantic.
Ischia, particularly Sant’Angelo, is stunning, and you can also see Capri in the distance. The view at night is spectacular.
Great essay & pics; need to pack my bags 💼✈️
Ischia sounds magical. I had never thought of visiting there before, but now it is on my list!

WHAT!?! I hadn't even heard about this, so wild!

Ahh you’re fueling my excitement for our move. I can’t wait to explore all these wonderful places in Italy!
You will love it!
I remember reading a book about Ischia called "The Italian Affair". Nice information about the island I hope to visit one day.
Elsa Morante also wrote "Arturo's Island" about Ischia.
Super weird timing. I’m just finishing lunch in an Ischian (?) restaurant that just opened in our neighborhood!
Did you eat bunny rabbit?? That is a common food there
That would be a no!
